• This race, like America's Kentucky Derby, is the first leg of China's Triple Crown. Unlike the United States, however, it sets the Chinese public off into a four-legged frenzy. China treats horse racing like other nations treat soccer,it borders on loony. The Steward's Cup is a 1,600 meter race and offers one of the richest purses in the world. Because of this the race annually attracts some of the globe's greatest riders. If you cannot make it to the race itself (tickets are difficult to come by), absorb all of the fun at one of the area's many off-track-betting houses.
