A First-timers Guide to Beaches in Trinidad

A First-timers Guide to Beaches in Trinidad

Description:

Trinidad is an island with a perimeter of beaches most sprayed with yellow powdery sand and others with pebbles, both with allure.

Day Note:

The most popular northern beach is Maracas Beach both with visitors and locals. Here the upgraded facilities allow for ample parking, food huts and sandy areas for recreation and sunbathing. Blanchiseusses is almost a 2-hour drive from the capital city along the north coast and offers ample sand beach where a river joins the sea allowing for kayaking.

Day Note:

East Pack up a picnic basket and set out to the mangroves of Manzanilla Beach. Experience the beauty of driving through a road fringed with tall palm trees with a background of the crashing waves on the coastal side. Cross the big metal bridge at the point where the estuaries meet and continue onwards to the calm of Mayaro Beach. Long almost deserted stretches of yellow powdery sand await you with the gentle lapping of Caribbean Sea on the east coast.
