Kahuku Superette

Description:

• The small country market called the Kahuku Superette offers homemade poke (a local dish of raw fish and spices) and locals say it's the best on the island. The owner uses a five generations old family recipe for the poke sauce, which she mixes with local ahi (yellow fin tuna), onions, water cress, and other flavorings to make a mouth watering version of a local favorite.
  
  Did I mention the recipe for the sauce is a secret? Well it is. And the family has guarded it closely, to the point where today only the only and her two sisters know the recipe. When you go in, head straight to the back of the store to the deli and ask for the "shoyu poke."
