Ko Olina Lagoons - Honolulu
  • Type: Beaches
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Get there before 10 for available parking.

  • Description:

    • Follow the H-1 west until it becomes Highway 93, or Farington Hightway. Look for the entrance to the Ko Olina resort area on the ocean side of the road. After the gate you'll see signs pointing to the three entrances.

The four picturesque Ko Olina lagoons were designed by the resort developers. The result has been perfect beaches in the shape of the crescent moon, each offering natural umbrella shade areas made out of palm fronds. Bathrooms and showers make each beach perfect for a complete day at the beach.

The ocean here is almost always perfectly calm, but it's still important to be careful because there are no lifeguards at the lagoons. Parking is something to take into consideration here, and the first three lagoon only have under 20 parking spots. The fourth has about 100, but it's still best to get to any of them before about 10 o'clock.
