Kailua has so many wonderful and different places to visit all year around. The weather is almost always nice here any time of the year and the many shops, restaurants, and beaches will keep you busy with all kinds of options.
When the sun is out there is about every water sport available to be enjoyed and if by chance the weather is not perfect there is plenty of exploring to be had in Kailua town.
Kailua is a great place to visit with no hotels! It has a wonderful local feel and fewer tourists than other parts of the island.
Shops, cafes, bistros, health food stores, art galleries, etc. are all around to be discovered and enjoyed. The peole who live in Kailua are the nicest on the island and you will soon feel the aloha spirit flowing here.

Honolulu the capital city of the islands is everyone's first destination. Waikiki Beach and the main boulevard, Kalakaua Avenue will give you a terrfic introduction. Most of the hotels are located in this area. Off the beaten track are the North Shore; my favorite is the Byodoin Temple for a total Zen experience.
