Iglesia de la Madre de Dios del Rosario

Description:

  • This is one of the most modern churches on Ibiza. It stands at the end of one of the city's main avenues, next to the main post office. It was built between 1991 and 1992 according to plans by Josep Antoni Zornoza Tur. Initially, it was to be dedicated to San Ciriaco, but in the end it was decided it would be dedicated to both San Ciriaco and Madre de Dios del Rosario. The statue of San Ciriaco was in storage in the Figueretas area of the city, awaiting the end of the restoration work on the church. There are no visiting times as such, but you can go inside the church during mass, which is held from M-F at 7p, on Sa at 8p and on Su at 11a and 8p.
