Description:
- On the island of Ibiza, you can still see a number of windmills, although none of them still carries out its original function, which in most cases was flourmaking. Some of them have been bought by Ibiza's regional government, the Consell Insular. This is the case with the flourmill in Puig d'en Valls, an area not far from Ibiza city. The mill was bought by the Consell in 1992. It is high up on a hill, which makes it easily visible, especially at night when it is lit up. There is documentary evidence of the mill's existence dating from the 18th Century.
