Lucky 13 - Idaho
  • Cuisines: Pizza
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

My first pizza at Lucky 13 was the Mexicana Grande, and it is still on the menu. Always a good choice.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Lucky 13 is popular, busy, and therefore slow. Don't come here if you're in a rush. We like to order our pizza ahead and pick it up on our way to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival where we eat it picnic style during the green show of the play. Lucky 13 is just off the Boise River Greenbelt, so biking to it is an easy ride.

    Description:

    • Atmosphere: Once housed in Boise's historic Hyde Park, Lucky 13 relocated several years ago to a more spacious and fun-filled location in southeast Boise. North End residents who lamented its departure from their neighborhood still travel several miles to eat their favorite pizza. Popular with the mountain biking crowd, it also caters to families and dog lovers. Eat inside, outside under the umbrellas on the deck, or take out.

Food: For most locals, Lucky 13 is all about pizza and beer. The pizza is thin-crusted goodness with any toppings you could ask for. Many of the pies are named after local landmarks, like Lucky Peak Potato. You can also get unusual pairings, like jalapeno and bleu cheese. Sandwiches come on thick slices of bread. The brews are cold and plentiful, as well as a variety of sodas.
