Description:

• Bogus Basin started out as a non-profit, small, local ski area. But today it is a world-class resort with great natural powder. National championships in snowboarding have been held here, in addition to local ski racers and clubs. Alpine skiing may be big up here, but so is Nordic, and the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge is a great hang-out with a huge warm fireplace and a gorgeous view outside the giant windows. Snowshoers are also welcome on Nordic trails.
  
  For non-skiers, Bogus Basin has a tubing hill, a great activity for kids' birthday parties or team building exercises for offices. There is also a yurt for rent winter and summer.
  
  The road to Bogus is windy, so only experienced drivers should make the trip. Bus service is available to the mountain which is a great alternative to driving.
  
  Equipment rentals, restaurants, and lessons are all available. And there is a condo style lodge if you want to spend a night.
  
  In non-snowy months, Bogus Basin is a hit with mountain bikers, runners, and hikers.
