Boise Contemporary Theater is exactly what the name implies: a theater that produces works by today's working playwrights. Over the last ten years, BCT has shown numerous world premieres with some of the best playwrights in modern theater.With the season running from fall through spring, BCT has recently expanded from four regular season shows a year to five. They also hold a reading series of staged readings of works in process, many of which get produced the next year. Plus they have a children's series of staged readings of plays for the young set.
The company is made up of professional equity actors and staff. You'll see heart wrenching angst-filled stories, hilarious comedies, and superb one-person shows.
