Hyde Park - Idaho
  • Type: Shopping
  • NileGuide Expert Says:

The heart of the North End.

  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Parking is limited, so opt for bike riding, walking, or even city bus.

    Description:

    • Boise's Hyde Park has nothing in common with its British or Chicago namesakes, but it is a special, unique piece of the North End lifestyle. Most of the buildings are historic Victorian homes or businesses. In Boise's early years, a trolley brought citizens to this area that was far away from downtown by their standards.

Today, Hyde Park is home to several restaurants, including Jave Coffee, Sun Ray Cafe, Goody's Ice Cream, Parilla Grill, and others. Several antique shops come and go, and there is a refreshed used book store.

North End residents value this little shopping district that defines quaint.
