• NileGuide Expert tip:

Don't use muddy trails, as this can cause deterioration.

    Description:

    • Ridge to Rivers Trails System has more than 100 miles of trails traversing the Boise foothills. Administered by the City of Boise, these trails belong to the citizens, and are used every day by hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts.

The trails are most commonly used by hikers and mountain bikers, although some are open to horses as well. Dogs can join you on the trails, but some areas are designated on-leash, while on other trails, your well-trained dog can be off-leash.

Trails vary in level of incline, intensity, and elevation. Know yourself and your limitations. Dress appropriately, and observe trail etiquette.

Along the trails, you may see a huge variety of native plants and wildlife. Enjoy the different seasons for what they have to offer.
