- Gallery Augustin is one of Innsbruck's most significant galleries. Austrian art is the main focal point of the collection along with modern classics of the last century. That said, the odd exhibition showcasing younger artists and their contemporary work does seem to be a recurring theme. The owner, Peter Augustin, originally opened his gallery in Pradl, and as his collection gradually outgrew these premises, he relocated to the center of town. He opened the present gallery in Museumstrasse in 1996. Through this, he made a very valuable cultural contribution to the city; Galleries of such quality, exhibiting such varied modern and contemporary art, are still rare in Innsbruck.
