- The Ottoburg, a tower originally used for housing people, lies in the center of the historic part of Innsbruck. It was constructed by Maximilian I in 1494 and is used as a wine house and restaurant today, utilizing the historic rooms as beautiful settings. The tower-like, four-storey building is the oldest building in the Herzog-Friedrich-Straße. On the side facing the Inn is the so-called Plattner memorial, dedicated to the brave freedom-fighters of 1809. Right next to the building are the ruins of the old city walls. Come in and enjoy a traditional Austrian meal fit for a king!
