Ascot Park Hotel

• This is deemed Invercargill's top spot, and although it's a bit too far out of town (4km/2 1/2 miles) to be convenient, it does have silence on its side -- unlike the Kelvin Hotel . The four deluxe units are a good pick if you like heaps of space. The suites are perfect for two couples or a family. The motel units come complete with kitchens. The hotel is favored by sports teams, tour groups, and independent travelers but it's plenty big enough for everyone to have a comfortable night.
