All of the suites at Excellence Playa Mujeres are incredible but the Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suites and the Junior Swim-Up Suites are out of this world. You won't want to go back home.

Description:

This spectacular 5-star, luxury resort is for adults-only and all guest rooms are suites.   Each room type is amazing and the decor is tropical yet elegant.  The views from each suite are breathtaking.  Each suite is at least 807 square feet and is equipped with an extra-wide sectional sofa, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a private jacuzzi, and a 4-poster.

Conde Nast Traveler just named Excellence Playa Mujeres as one of the Top 20 hotel in Mexico, according to the magazine's 2011 Gold List.  (The hotels was listed near the top of the list!) 

The award-winning resort is located on the mainland, just north of Cancun, in the municipality of Isla Mujeres.  It is not on the quaint island of Isla Mujeres, however.  The hotel is secluded in that the only things nearby are a couple of other hotels, the ferry dock in the town of Puerto Juarez, a golf course, and miles of white-sand beaches.  The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Cancun and about 30-40 minutes from Cancun's famous hotel zone.  Even though it's close to both areas of Cancun, it's a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
