Casa Rolandi

Description:

• A gourmet restaurant outside of town in the Villa Rolandi hotel, this place offers a beautiful setting with windows over the island's western shore and an open-air terrace. The menu here is more sophisticated than Rolandi's downtown, including some original creations not offered by the other locale. But there are several dishes common to both, including one of the signature dishes, pescado a la sal (fish baked in a cocoon of salt and egg whites). Both restaurants make good use of wood-burning stoves to produce some great baked fish dishes. And take care with the wood-oven-baked bread; it arrives looking like a puffer fish, and it's so divine you're apt to fill up on it. This is a great place to enjoy the sunset. They stock a selection of fine international wines and more than 80 premium tequilas. Service is personalized and attentive.
