Bars And Clubs Near Taksim in Istanbul

Nightlife is defined in Taksim... It has always been... Whether it is an underground disco bar you are after, or an elite skyscraper with fancy lights and a fancy view, all will await you at some corner of Taksim. There are a couple of well known and old bars and clubs where you go in your casual jeans and converse, and get a beer, listen to music and dance if you may. Roxy and Mojo would be the best examples to those. Other bars are terrace or roof-top bars and clubs with astonishing views of the city... 360 Restaurant & Club deserves a definite mention here. Recently, a new bar scene has evolved at where Asmalimescit street (an old artisan street) meets the Sishane district. There are so many new openings and such a vast choice of different bars and clubs that I shall not make a reference... Classic ones in the area include Nu Pera and Otto. Dressing up is not a must in Taksim; but be ready to be turned down a couple of times at a couple of places. There is a code to these clubs; just not the dress code...
