Planning a longer stay in Istanbul? The question would be where? Could be in the midst of multi-cultural and lively Istiklal Street; or around the bohemian quarter of Galata and the Tunel district, where the crafts people and elite designers, architects and photographers blend in together. Public transportation would be an ease in both regions with the tube connecting both to the main Taksim square atop Istiklal Street and Sishane beneath it.
If you are in for business and are likely to spend more time in the financial district, you may rather be located around Levent, Nisantasi or Besiktas. You shall then be getting ready for more traffic; but also lots of after work drinks with you colleagues.
If you are in for more than a few days in Istanbul, you may as well make it feel a little more like home in some of Istanbul's finest vacation rentals.
