  • We usually recommend our visitors to spare at least a week in Istanbul, simply because there is so much to see and so much to do. In fact there’s never a way to be bored in Istanbul. Start with the must-see attractions in and around Sultanahmet (and even then you may not be done within a week), move to the big sights and fine museums laid all around the city, check out some tours such the "behind the streets tours in Galata" or "photographing Istanbul" or "gastronomic Istanbul" tours, dig in to some outdoor activities like going camping in Ballıkayalar (a site not very far away from the city) or waterskiing on the Sapanca Lake, and work your way down to the between-the-cracks, off-the-beaten-path gems. Just leave some time to catch your breath. Take some photos too...
