The sophisticated local wine brand Corvus has done it again as it pioneered in establishing a modern wine&bite house in Nisantasi. Corvus brand came into being from an idea that appeared to its developer in the year 2002. Reşit Soley, the founder of the brand, had been an architect and designer for over 20 years -with a serious and successful career filled with creating some of the top brands' head quarters in the city. In 2002, he decided to revoke and kindle the spirit of Bozcaada (a beautiful and nostalgic island in the Aegean) where his harvest now stands. He bottled his first bottles of wine in 2004. Ever since, Corvus has been known as a high quality Turkish wine for the sophisticated. The English "Guardian" reported Corvus vineyards as one of the top ten vineyards in the world only after 3 years of business. Corvus Wine&Bites is a winery where you may be able to taste the Corvus wine without having to purchase a bottle. All blends and all sorts are served by the glass here; so you may as well go ordering a different type each time -getting a genuine taste of the brand. Wine is accompanied by little bites from the Agean region. There are a variety of regional cheese grouped into categories by district or type (whether it is spread type or a to be served hard on a wooden plate).
Set in a trendy neighborhood, good choice for lunch or for afternoon chill.
Be ware that they take no reservations. You may have to settle down for an outside door or inside to the bar.
