• This down-to-earth eatery is a favorite among the local businessmen, and the three side-by-side restaurants and sidewalk cafes are filled to the brim with popular national actors and artists in town for the various annual fairs. On summer days when the heat becomes too much to bear, the main section has an air-conditioned dining area on the second floor, with a TV (in Turkish, of course) for a little background atmosphere. The house specialty is çöpsis, cubed beef, veal, or lamb grilled on skewers; and köfte, the Turkish equivalent of a pressed meatball, but there is a lineup of the usual varieties of eggplant and grills on the traditional menu as well.
