Description:
Four octagonal, open-sided dining pavilions, separated from Negril's beachfront by a strip of trees, evolved as the escapist dream of Gino Travaini, the Italy-born owner. Pastas and bread are made fresh daily. The best chef's specialties feature linguine with lobster, filet of beef with peppercorns, various forms of scaloppini, and huge platters of grilled seafood.
On the premises are a dozen very simple huts, each octagonal, rustic, and camplike, that rent for between US$60 (£30) and US$120 (£60) each, double occupancy, depending on the season. Each has a TV, a very basic kitchenette, and a ceiling fan, but no air-conditioning.
