- Located adjacent to one of the most popular shopping centres in Kingston, The Sovereign Centre, is The Contemporary Art Centre, which was founded in 1984 by noted Jamaican painter, Barrington Watson. This multifaceted unit sells prints, ceramics, pottery and other artistic objects in one section; frame pictures in another; and host exhibits in a third section, the gallery. The gallery is always in a state of transition with almost constant preparation for exhibitions.
