Description:
- This, the official residence (since 1872) of the governor-general, is a prime example of fine architecture and Jamaican heritage. Enclosed by stately black and gold iron gates, the beautiful lawns and laid out gardens are its prominent features. The mile-long drive leading to the House is flanked with towering palm trees. Among the treasures of King's House are the deluxe bound Bible used for swearing-in ceremonies and three silver lamps presented by the British government. Permission to tour King's House must be sought in writing. Admission: Free
