- Built by the British in 1841 for the troops to escape the yellow fever spreading in the Kingston plains, the camp is still in use today by the Jamaican Defense Force. You can walk through the old wooden barracks and, from the parade ground, enjoy an amazing view over the Blue Mountains and Kingston and its bay. It is really worth a stop and it is free. You can have a snack and drink at the shop in one of the buildings.
