Trelawny Parish Church

Description:

• For over 203 years, this beautiful cut stone building has provided solace to the masses who enter (seats 1500). Like most buildings of this time, it is of Georgian design. Note its traditional brass eagle lectern (found in most Anglican churches throughout the island). There are also marked graves under the church - a reminder of the diverse cultures who are part of Jamaica's history.The bell and clock tower are still in working order; the clock chimes every 15 minutes. The grounds are quite pretty and well shaded.
