Montego Bay is a popular site for beach trips for families, couples and singles alike. You will be able to partake of swimming and various water-sport activities. Some locations also have special attractions for children; including bumper cars, jungle gyms, swings, etc. and may include day care facilities which facilitate games and other activities.
You may also want to visit some the crafts market so you can pick up some lovely trinket souvenirs.

Montego Bay has on the Hip Strip a go cart area and other swings and slides that they can go on but for children there is not much to do unless you go to Negril for there is Cool Runnings Water park for children and adults alike. They may enjoy Outameni Heritage play but if they are toddlers not much is there. It is not advisable to go somewhere else and leave your kids at the go cart area. Other than going to the beach that is it, sorry! Montego Bay is really geared to young adults and adults not toddlers. If you are going to FDR a hotel they may enjoy that hotel which is safe and many activities may be there, to engage them and nannies to stay with them, while you go on a tour.

its fine do fun stuff but why do stuff you can do at home. i suggest taking the kids to introduce them to things like tropical rain forrest, nature parks, animal farm, bird sanctary where they can learn about the flora and fauna and animals endemic to Jamaica. This would be educating and fun packed. www.jamaicatourguide.com

Montego Bay is a lovely family vacation destination. I was about to list the series of places I'd recommend for your adult enjoyment instead I've given you a link below to a page you where you can see the popular places to go to while there. As for your children beaches like Aqua sol is a good place to have fun. They have some go carts there, they can enjoy glass boat rides and of course sun and water. Coral Cliff gaming lounge downstairs (game arcade) is another place you can take them to. I am not sure of so the places for children but I'm sure there is plenty to do there while you're in Jamaica. Negril isn't far perhaps taking a trip to Cool Runnings waterpark

Well if you thinking about your pocket and your kids are interested in games then the coral cliff gaming lounge is perfect for them, they have really cool games that are very easy on your pocket and your kids can win tickets to play other games(making it much cheaper for you), then you have the public beaches with the burger king very near by.. and for you my dear, you can take them along and tour the city, there will be plenty to take back home for them to remember their trip.. the HIP STRIP is where u pay a tourist price(an arm and a leg) for things that you could get cheaper, but if its something very unique, then i think it would be worth it.. then there is pier one.. if you wanna have some time for youself in the night, then TRUST ME, that is the place TO BE..mix and mingle my friend...that is the key..

If your kids are older than 6 years old you could visit the Great River - River Tubing.
You can also go on a Tour of the Rose Hall Great House
Take a 30 min drive to Braco and do Horse Back Riding.

Visit the local Craft village.
The beach is also essential and you have a choice here.

Hey, I,m not sure if that daytrip already pass, but I just got back from Montego Bay - wonderfull place. I stayed there for a mopnth - became almost local. So my suggestion is - fro the whole famili - visit the Mistic Mountain. That is a gerat fun for half day - lift upon the wild forest and magnificant sea viwe; followed by bobsleid and 5 stop zip line!!!!!!!!! The guys there are great you'll have fun! Also there si a craft shop and restaurant so you could have your lunch here also. The other half of the day just go to Margarita ville - it is very close - that's bar with swimming pool water slope and fine drinks, nice shop to take away gifts! Have a great time!!!!

It seems there is Mistic Mountain, Go Carts and Horseback riding and other activities for the children and adults alike! You can also do historical tours with me and I can take you other places that may exhaust your kids! You can take them to FDR Hotel and you can leave them with nannies and activities are all ready for them!

For a day trip in Montego Bay, do a tour of Rose Hall Estate or do some river rafting. You may also check out one of the many tours offered by Chukka Blue Adventure Tours, or just relax and have fun on the hipstrip of Montego Bay.
