Description:
Synonymous with Jamaica's culture is its internationally acclaimed dance troupe, the National Dance Theater Company, which draws impressive crowds for its performances. The Hon. Rex Nettleford established the group more than 30 years ago. If you're lucky, you can catch a performance during your visit. The dances are a celebration of traditional and modern Caribbean dance forms, and the NDTC singers add to the entertainment package. Exhilarating productions are scheduled through the year.

Located on the third floor of the Sovereign Centre, the Palace Cineplex is a two screen cinema that features American movies. On special occasions, through the influence of the European Union office in Jamaica, the cinema is also used to host a number of European movies during film festivals. Description:
Built in 1912 by Colonel Charles James Ward, the Ward Theatre is the largest theatre in the English-speaking Caribbean. It is a splendid Victorian-style structure with 836 seats arranged in three tiers. The middle tier, known as "The Dress Circle," is the best in the house. This theatre is an important cultural monument, where many local and international musicals, dance performances and other shows are held throughout the year in front of thousands of Jamaicans from all walks of life.

One of the local favourites is a drive to Port Royal. Here you'll find Gloria's, home of delicious seafood. The dining area is completely outdoors; tables are set along the roadside in full view of the kitchen. The waves crashing on the rocks almost act as background music for the place. You may wish to try the delicious fish tea before the main course. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available.

This cinema is one of the oldest in Jamaica and once boasted a single auditorium with one screen. Rebuilt after being destroyed by fire in 1997, this contemporary complex is now the only cinema on the island that houses five separate screens. Films are mostly American, with at least two films shown daily.
