Description:

  • Let there be no confusion, Legoland is nowhere near Copenhagen, but if you can handle a couple of hours on a train followed by another, short bus ride to the park, it's one day-trip not to miss out on if you're family vacationing in Denmark with small children. Located near Billund in central Jutland (in fact you could say that the town of Billund and its nearby airport has grown around Legoland rather than the other way around), the world-famous theme park has plenty of Lego-themed attractions, including entire streets made out of thousands of the Danish-invented plastic bricks found in homes all over the world: it also has plenty of rides that have nothing to do with Lego. Everything is on hand here, including cafes, restaurants and even overnight cabins and a family-themed hotel for those who feel like making their daytrip a little longer. Legoland is closed between November and March.
