Description:

• The Ben-Yehuda/Yoel Salomon Street Mall area is filled with pubs and bars that come and go. Mike's Place is the most long-lived and friendly in the area, with great nightly programs featuring live blues, folk, and current musicians from the local rock scene. The crowd is an easy mix of Israelis, students, tourists, professionals, and occasionally Palestinians (ages 18-50); in good weather, tables move out to a courtyard. There's a free pool table, and affordable pizzas, focaccia, and simple dishes are served day and night. No decor, no one dresses up, no bouncers, and never a cover charge, but there is a two-drink minimum. Open daily 10am until at least 2am; music starts around 10pm.
