- Walking tours of Jerusalem are offered by several non-profit groups including the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI)and the Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel (AACI). These are low-cost, group tours of both the major sites and some more off-beat venues. A few commercial companies conduct walking tours of the Old City that provide a general overview of the major sites. Full or half-day bus tours run throughout the year and cover the most important things to see throughout the city. In addition, there's a two-hour, hop on hop off double decker bus tour that operates on a daily basis year-round. If you're interested in a private tour, licensed Israeli tour guides are extremely well-trained and may be hired for a half or full day tour.
