Description:
This is a great location, just inside the Jaffa Gate. Through big iron gates you'll find a flagstone courtyard with trees and benches, a 150-year-old English-style church that now houses a Protestant/Messianic congregation, and very simple single, double, and triple rooms with private bathrooms in a series of atmospheric 19th-century buildings. The gates close at 11pm and stay locked until 6am, except by special arrangement. This guesthouse is heavily booked during the summer months and for Christian holidays -- reserve well in advance for these times. Very reasonable meal plans can be arranged. The Guest House also runs the nearby inexpensive Coffee Shop and organizes tours and lectures oriented toward the Protestant Messianic movement; however, those guests who are not evangelical are under no pressure to join. A protected parking area is an added feature, although the management does not take responsibility for cars parked there.
