Description:
Although situated at the fork of busy King David and Keren Hayesod streets, the design of this modern hotel, built in the 1980s, manages to keep street noise to tolerable levels. The entrance is on a service driveway between the two thoroughfares and opens onto an airy, multilevel stone-floor lobby. Room furnishings are blandly modern, but superior rooms and suites are spacious and updated; some offer excellent views. The large rooftop pool, with a view of the Old City walls in the distance, is quite spectacular. Dining facilities are glatt kosher. The hotel is within walking distance of Yemin Moshe, the German Colony, and the Cinémathèque, but you'll probably want to take a bus to the Ben-Yehuda Mall area.
