• Thanks to its busy garden terrace, this has long been the main watering hole for the gentrified German Colony. The large salads, served with a basket of rolls and herb butter, are popular. Pastas, crepes, bagels and lox, vegetable pies, focaccia, and sweet-potato pancakes (with sour cream) round out the lighter menu. Main courses of pan-fried sea bream or Saint Peter's fish are new attractions. People often come here just to sit and talk over a piece of cake, crepes, or ice cream while sipping a glass of wine or other alcoholic beverage.
