Description:
Shipudia means "skewer," and this restaurant specializes in skewers of beef or lamb, chicken hearts and livers, chicken or goose breast, and that pièce de résistance of skewered meats: gooseliver. Most of the skewers are around NIS 40 ($10/£5) and come with your choice of two side dishes. You can put together the combination of your choice, and as an added treat, Hashipudia makes wonderful fresh Iraqi pita bread on the spot each evening in a traditional oven. A lunch special of salad or soup, main course, baklava, and tea or coffee is offered for NIS 60 ($15/£7.50). A full range of economically priced soups, and stuffed vegetables as well as more expensive steaks, chops, and fish makes this one of the best restaurant choices in the Agrippas Street neighborhood. Tip: Don't confuse this with Shipudei HaGefen, on Agrippas Street.
