Description:
In good weather, the vine-covered garden here is one of the most pleasant spots for a leisurely meal in East Jerusalem. Jerusalemites and travelers from both sides of the city come here to enjoy the ambience. Highly recommended is Friday night when there is live traditional Arabic music. The daily menu includes Arabic and Western salads, an interesting home-style shwarma, grilled meats, and a few traditional oven-baked specialties. The delicious shrak shwarma is a very generous plate of seasoned chicken or meat served inside a Palestinian tortilla-like wrap with salad and chips on the side. In really cold weather, the garden restaurant moves indoors to a Bedouin-style dining room.
