• The Book Gallery is one of those old-fashioned independent bookstores that are vanishing fast in most cities.  But Jerusalemites are avid book lovers, and the Book Gallery is a magnet for anyone who loves books and reading.  Covering three floors, the Book Gallery is wall-to-wall books, with an expansive English section. This is the place to come for anything in print about Israel or Jerusalem.  Out of print books are a specialty and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. There's plenty of comfortable seating scattered amongst the bookshelves, and the Book Gallery is a great place to unwind for an hour or two if the sightseeing gets too much.
