Jozi's self-proclaimed "hip hotel" is something of a knockoff of the Philippe Starck-Ian Schrager model, and that look is now a little tired. That said, it's useful for an overnighter, as you walk out the door and you're in a secure environment, with a host of restaurants to choose from (don't miss Orient, opposite, reviewed below); and the decor does have a quirky, playful edge that differentiates from the bland chains, while giving you the anonymity of a large hotel. I'd still opt for the ultrastylish Peech Hotel up the road, considerably less expensive and far more intimate, or the stylish new Radisson, an excellent value.
