Tioga Lodge - June Lake
  • Type: Lodges
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

A nice combination of natural setting and historic significance.

  • Description:

    • The original 20 cabins here were built in the 1880s, at which time the area served gold miners. This inn was rescued by its current owners, who understood the historical significance of the buildings and the beauty of the area. Today, each room has a view of Mono Lake, and each has been totally refurbished and decorated to reflect its origins. There is a good restaurant and wonderful gift shop, which was imported from Bodie, a nearby ghost town. This place is not only charming, it is a history buff's delight.
