- A 14-mile drive up Highway 120 (Tioga Road) from this simple motel will take you to Yosemite's east entrance. Although simple, this lodging has a courtyard complete with flowers and a white picket fence. Rooms have two double beds, bathrooms and in-room complimentary coffee. You will also find decks with views of the surrounding countryside, a spa (closed during winter), and Mono Lake. Although it is not fancy, this motel makes a good base for exploration, and you will be right in the town of Lee Vining, which means restaurants and shops are close by.
