Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum

Description:

  • This maritime relic designed and built by George Gordon Meade in 1860 is one of the oldest lighthouses in Florida, and the oldest existing structure in Palm Beach County. The confederate army extinguished its light during the Civil War, but when the war was over, it was re-lit and has been guiding the ships along the shore to this day. Bring your camera to capture the 156-foot red beauty, standing tall on the Jupiter coast.
