  • Kauai is an island like no other. Breathtakingly beautiful by day, and unforgettable by night – starting a day of adventure on the island of Kauai is always a special event. There are many things to do, and not one is a bad choice. For the adventurer, lace up the hiking shoes and hike the Na Pali Coast. The combination of tranquil forests, jutting rocks and glittering sandy beaches all enveloped by the bright blue ocean brings an air of relaxation, even during the hardest hike. If you prefer the view from the trees, as opposed to looking up at them, try a zipline treetop tour through a Norfolk Pine forest. Like heights? Waimea Canyon is for you! This Grand Canyon of the Pacific provides colorful hues of green, brown, gold and yellow on the canyon walls. These walls were formed as the Waimea River carried massive amounts of rainfall from Mt. Waialeale, which is one of the wettest places on earth. If water sports are your thing, then kayak the South Shore to secluded beaches, surf the waves of the well-known South Shore, kite board along the East Shore or snorkel in one of the many fringing reefs that surround the island. For the ultimate view of Kauai, sign up for one of the island’s many helicopter tours, or take a seat on a catamaran for a Na Pali Coast sunset tour. For those who want more relaxation with their vacation, roll out a grass mat on Kee Beach where the road ends and the Kalalau trailhead begins, or pack a picnic for Poipu Beach Park where the sun is almost certainly going to shine.
