Step back in history at this 1920s plantation home (the oldest in Kilauea Village) hosts Paul and Laurie have decorated in impeccable old Hawaiian antiques. There are three units, ranging from an old garage converted into a 500-square-foot studio to two rooms in the main house. The rooms, both with very comfortable wrought-iron beds and ceiling fans, share a screen porch, with a coffeepot and an old 7-Up machine used as a refrigerator. One room has a half bathroom and shares a shower with the owner; the other room has its own full bathroom. In the courtyard is a cooking area with gas burner stove, barbecue, microwave, rice cooker, and refrigerator. The studio has air-conditioning, TV, phone, and CD, plus a private bathroom. The plantation is located just off the highway (some highway noise, but not much), about 15 minutes from Princeville and 20 minutes from Hanalei.
