Description:

  • Ha'ena Beach Park lies on the northern shore of Kauai between Kailiu and Ha'ena Points. Although picturesque, this beach is exposed to open ocean and not recommended for swimming or other water activities. Ha'ena is a good (and safe) place to camp if interested in hiking the Kalalau Trail, although the facilities are not maintained very well. Ke'e Beach, and the trailhead, lies one mile west of Ha'ena. Ke'e Beach and Tunnels Beach, both close to Ha'ena, provide calm water conditions good for swimming and other water activities. From Ha'ena Beach Park visitors can explore the Maniniholo Dry Cave, which is located directly across the street. Facilities at Ha'ena Beach Park include: restrooms, showers, picnic tables and grills and drinking water.
