  • Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the R.W. Meyer Sugar Mill, founded by German sugar planter Rudolph W. Meyer in 1878, has been authentically restored and includes a mule-driven cane crusher, copper clarifiers and an operational steam engine. The Moloka'i Museum & Cultural Center, which changes displays and artifacts periodically, also serves as the venue for the annual Molokai Music Festival. A gift shop sells books, local crafts and souvenirs. Call ahead for hikes, mule treks and tours. No credit cards are accepted.
