Getting There
Kennebunk is just off exit 25 of the Maine Turnpike; follow signs east into town. You can also get here by taking U.S. 1 from York and Ogunquit. To reach Kennebunkport, exit for Kennebunk and continue through town on Port Road (Rte. 35) 3 1/2 miles. At the traffic light, turn left and cross the small bridge.

The Kennebunk-Kennebunkport Chamber of Commerce, 17 Western Ave. (P.O. Box 740), Kennebunk, ME 04043 (tel. 800/982-4421 or 207/967-0857), can answer questions year-round by phone or at its offices on Route 9, next to the H.B. Provisions grocery store. The Kennebunkport Information Center (tel. 207/967-8600), operated by an association of local businesses, is off Dock Square (next to Ben & Jerry's) and is open daily in summer and fall.

The local trolley (actually a bus) makes several stops in and around Kennebunkport and also serves the beaches; it stops once per hour from 10am until 5pm.
