• Location. The Sunrise Suites Resort is located in a quiet section of Key West, Fla., one mile from Smathers Beach, the largest beach in the city, and two miles from Higgs Beach. Windsurfing, sailboarding, snorkeling, and kayak and Jet Ski tours are available on Smathers Beach. The nightlife and restaurants of Duval Street are approximately three miles away, and Mallory Square is five miles from the resort.
  Features. This condominium-style, smoke-free resort offers accommodations in a high-rise building surrounded by tropical foliage. The lobby features a computer station with complimentary Internet access, a gift shop and a concierge to arrange for cruises, fishing charters and other recreational activities. Lounge chairs surround a heated lagoon-shaped pool, accompanied by a hot tub and sundeck. Lighted tennis courts, fitness facilities and bicycle rentals are available. The resort offers laundry facilities. Daily housekeeping is provided for a fee. The Sunrise Suites Resort is pet-friendly, and even keeps dog biscuits at the front desk. Two pets per unit are allowed for a nightly fee.
  
  Guestrooms. Two-bedroom condominiums at the Sunrise Suites Resort bring the tropical flavors of Key West indoors with vibrant comforters and colorful wicker furniture. Full kitchens feature bar-counter seating, and open onto living rooms with cable television and VCRs. All accommodations include two bathrooms and bathrobes. Private balconies overlook the pool or the nearby Salt Ponds Preserves. Select units overlook both. Dial-up Internet access is available for a fee. The hotel also provides complimentary towel exchange on request.
  
  Expert Tip. From the balconies, guests can observe the many species of birds that inhabit the Salt Ponds Preserve. Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars.
