Khotan Old and New Carpet Store

• In the Uighur part of town at, this little shop has a decent selection of carpets from the surrounding areas. While the shop carries just a few hard-to-find antique carpets, this is probably the best selection you're going to get for old carpets in Khotan, as most stores only sell new ones, in fairly tacky designs, to locals. The store is a little hard to find, so if you want to make life easy, call the owner, Abdujilil, and he'll come by and pick you up. The shop is usually open 9am to 9pm.
