- Ishema is more of a compound than a hotel. It has a pool area that is quite popular and often in use. The gardens between buildings are gorgeous and well maintained (although only for looking at). And in addition to the main restaurant, there is a small bakery and café with wireless internet. There are 3 houses, with increasing prices and quality:
Peter House (10.000RWF/18USD – 14.000RWF/26USD) is quite simple. It has electricity, but no hot water or internet. (Hot water can be delivered to the room.)
Grace House (20.000RWF/37USD – 40.000RWF/74USD) is a traditional guesthouse, with electricity, running hot water, and private bathrooms.
Peace House (40.000RWF/74USD – 60.000RWF/92USD) is in the main building and much more modern. There is wireless internet access and all the rooms have private balconies (although the view is of Grace House, not the volcanoes). - © NileGuide2013
